Wordless Wednesday ::: June 8, 2016

I forgot to share this a few weeks ago. Every now and then, I’ve been going on walks with my parents.

Last month, we came across a… NO!

And a… NO.

I was afraid he was going to jump. But he didn't.

I actually didn’t see the spider at first, until I looked at the picture. I thought the log looked interesting.

There he is, in his natural habitat.

Scavenger Hunt Sunday ::: April 10, 2016

Good afternoon! I haven’t participated in Scavenger Hunt Sunday for a few months. Here are my interpretations.

1. Sweet
Lots of cuddle moments with Precious this week. She’s sweet, most of the time. 🙂

image

2. Not Normal
Although snow is quite normal in Ohio, having quite a bit of it in April is a little unusual.

image

3. Ordinary Day
Working at Panera. This was taken on Saturday night.

image

4. Smile
My parents. Smiling on the trails.

image

5. Different Angle
Speaking of trails, flowers caught while walking. They’re gone now, but I was happy to get them earlier this week. Angle from the ground.

I’m a panda! •__•

I had one of those little moments of joy today.
I saw some panda, giraffe and cat wraps on clearance this afternoon.

I wasn’t interested in  the giraffe, but I was torn between the cat and panda. Cat and panda.

Finally, I decided on the panda.

I’m a panda. I even have paw hand warmers.

Like I said, I can even use it as a throw.

I’m enjoying it on my lap right now, with the cat on it. Until next time.

First post in two and one half months!

I haven’t written in here since December 16th. I’m not sure if it’s better to say that was about two and one half months ago, the end of last year, or just year in general.

Either way, it’s been awhile! And since it’s the first of March, I figured that today would be a good day to post.

Well, I last left off in December, where I was getting ready for Christmas. I didn’t get my tree up until about two days before Christmas. Getting into the spirit of Christmas was just hard to do this past year, and that’s saying something, considering how Christmas is my favorite time of year.

Well, 2015 wasn’t all that great for me, so I ended up allowing the tone of the year to dictate how I felt at the end.  Not a good idea, but I did eventually get into the holiday spirit. 🙂

Here's my tree, by the way.

My birthday was on December 29th. I had requested the day off, and my parents and I spent the day moving my stuff out of the apartment and back home. My lease ended on the 30th, and it was going to be too expensive to stay there, with the job I have, so I moved home. I’m just commuting a longer drive. Although it is cheaper for me right now, I do miss my apartment. It was a studio, and I am hoping to find a one bedroom in the near future. I am paying my parents rent each month.

My parents and I still have Precious the cat. We had to put to sleep our chocolate lab in the summertime, and we’ve had one pet since then. Whenever the next opportunity comes, we would like to get another dog. Yes, my parents have made it clear that Precious is cute, but they are not cat people as much as dogs. I like both dogs and cats, but I think recently I’m more into cats.

Precious had a pretty big sinus infection throughout the last several months, and we took her in about three weeks ago. I was able to get her on medication, and I have another appointment for her this coming Thursday morning for her to hopefully get caught up on her shots.

Precious has thought of herself as the queen of the house. 😀 I am glad that she’s doing better though. Less sneezing and such all over the place. Ick!! I hope it stays that way. Precious will be 14 this year. She and Cocoa (the chocolate lab) were the same age.

I’ve had some  Precious moments that I would like to share. 🙂

The cat watching a dog show. Haha!!

Sometimes Precious likes to do some hand holding. SHE has to be the one in control of it though.

Well, January has come and gone. I didn’t really make any resolutions this year, other than just some changes I need to make here and there. Nothing worth mentioning in my blog, yet.

We’ve had unusual winter weather in Ohio lately! Not too much snow, which is a bummer. Hey, I like snow! We’ve had a couple snow storms, but that’s pretty much it. We’ve had foggy days, rainy days, pretty sunrises and sunsets. Definitely a variety, which sums up the weather in Ohio. See for yourself.

As I said before, a little more snow before we do hit spring would be nice. But this variety sure is interesting!

In February, we celebrated my Dad’s birthday. His is the day after Valentine’s Day, so we celebrated it together. I bought these pretty orange flowers that week.

Not too much else happened in February, other than getting fixtures done on Flame (my Neon). Last week, I had a new battery and windshield nozzle parts put in. I put it off for almost too long, because the car was sounding rougher and was harder to start as the months went by. The last car battery I bought was in 2011, I believe, and the mechanics said that I got the new battery just in time.

Flame is good to go for awhile, and once again, the Monro Muffler/Brake & Service team provides me with excellent service! 😀

And now, March has come. I thought that today would be a good day to post. With all of these temperatures going up and down rapidly, my throat has been feeling scratchy, and I’ve felt stuffed up. Thankfully though, I’ve been able to keep healthy. There are sure sicknesses going around up here.

Well, that’s all I have to say for this afternoon. I have been reading blogs lately, but I just haven’t been responding to any of them. And I haven’t been blogging myself, but hopefully I can jump back into it.

Random inspiration for photography!

Happy March, everyone! And definitely a Happy Birthday to Ohio! 🙂
